SOMETHING BLUE

This deeply personal wedding at the beautiful Hedsor House took inspiration from an old photograph of the bride’s grandparents in their garden holding a bunch of freshly cut flowers.

This amazing couple wanted to pay tribute to the garden and the vibrant colours featured in the photograph.

The garden theme began in The Great Hall with a stunning backdrop of white wisteria trees and continued down the aisle with mounds of fallen petals, rose heads and green foliage surrounding pillar candles and tea lights. It was inside the glass marquee however, that the garden really came to life.

The 9 x 4 metre flower ceiling of mixed blue and white delphinium, white wisteria and pink peonies provided the instant impact and wow factor only a hanging garden could. This impressive installation used over 5000 flowers and took a day to make. Keen not to over shadow, but more to accentuate the beauty of the ceiling, the table centres were a mix of purpose built trees and low planted gardens, each housing a very special hummingbird with deep personal meaning to this beautiful couple.

No hanging garden wedding would be complete without potted plants for guests to take home and plant in their own gardens, to remember such a magical day.
